Maybe You Are Not Here By Chance

You know something is out of balance.
You may know exactly what it is. Or you may simply know you're stretched too thin and can't quite put your finger on where

it's all going sideways.

Either way, you're in the right place.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out.
Some clients arrive with a specific list. Others just know they need help.

Both work.

So, let’s talk about the person you’re about to hire.

ABOUT US
THE "WHY" PART...

You didn’t start your business to have it run you.

You’re an entrepreneur or business owner because you’re good at something. You have an idea, a skill, a service, or a vision you want to turn into something of your own.

But building the business around that thing requires a whole lot more.

Setting it up. Creating the systems. Keeping things organized. Managing the moving pieces. Getting the word out. Following through on the things that don't come naturally.

And you don't have to be good at all of it.

Maybe you're launching something new and need someone to help build the foundation.

Maybe you're growing or expanding and need support with everything happening around the work you do best.

Maybe you simply know that operations, admin, systems or social media aren't where your strengths lie.

That's not a problem to fix. It's a weakness to hire for.

That's the thinking behind Admin Associate.

I come alongside the parts of your business that aren't your strength and help make sure they get done properly — so you can spend more of your time doing the work you built the business to do.

Here’s what changes when you hire for the gaps.:

The back end gets handled.

Not eventually. Not when you get around to it. Actually handled by someone who is wired for exactly this.

You stop losing customers to the gaps.

The missed follow-ups, the broken booking links, the Google profile nobody updated: those aren’t just annoyances. They’re costing you business. That stops.

You get back to the reason you started.

The work you’re actually good at. The reason you built something in the first place.

That’s what your time should be spent on.

You work with someone who sees what you can’t.

My best clients don’t just hand me tasks. They hear back from me with things they didn’t know needed doing. That’s not a bonus. That’s the job.

THE "WHO" PART...

I’ve spent years running businesses.

Not just managing them from a boardroom. Actually running them — the hiring, the systems, the client problems at 1 a.m., and the decisions that kept things moving when they were about to fall apart.

After burning out in a job that took more than it gave, I had a conversation that changed everything. It reminded me that hard work should build something with your name on it. That your time, your talent, and your sacrifice should fuel your own future, not just someone else's bottom line.

That was the spark behind Admin Associate.

Not a business plan. Not a credential. A decision.

A decision to build something on my own terms and use what I've learned — from running businesses, solving problems, and being the person everything falls on — to help other business owners carry less of it themselves and to help cheer them on with their successes.

THE BAREFOOT BASICS PHILOSPHY

The barefoot references you see throughout this site are not just aesthetic. They’re how I live and how I work.

No pretence. No overcomplication. No corporate armour. Just grounded, practical work that actually makes a difference.

Stay grounded.

Know what matters and don’t lose sight of it when things get noisy.

Move with intention.

Every action should have a reason. Busy and productive are not the same thing.

Wash away what no longer serves.

If it’s not working, stop doing it. Clear the clutter and make room for what does.

Focus on what makes a difference.

Not everything is urgent. Not everything matters equally. Know the difference.

THE "WHAT" PART...

What I actually bring.

I’ve run the operations of a licensed retirement facility as Acting General Manager - over 80 staff, multiple departments, full financial accountability, and regulatory compliance.

I’ve helped to scale an ecommerce business from $170K to over $1M in annual revenue through a complete operational overhaul.

I’ve managed multi-million dollar project accounts for oil sands clients, secured national sponsorships, coordinated one

of Ontario’s largest classic car events, and represented a business association to municipal stakeholders.

Healthcare. Ecommerce. Manufacturing. Event Planning. Sales, Community Development. Retail

The industries are different. The skill underneath is the same — walk into a situation, understand how it works,

find what's broken, fix it, and build something that holds.

That's what an Online Business Manager actually does.

That's what you're hiring.

ABOUT US
THE "HOW" PART...

You don't have to know exactly what you need.

01 — We Talk

Tell me what's working, what's not, and what's sitting on your list that never seems to get done.

You don't need to arrive with a plan. That's part of what we're figuring out.

02 — We Find The Gap

I'll look at what's actually going on in the business and help determine what needs attention, what can wait, and where my support makes the most sense.

03 — We Create A Plan

I'll recommend the right way to move forward, whether that's ongoing support, a specific project, or something more tailored. You'll know what we're doing, what it costs, and what to expect before anything begins.

04 — I Take It From There

Once we've agreed on the plan and paperwork is in place, I get to work. You stay focused on the parts of the business that need you. I handle the parts you've hired me to handle — and I'll tell you when I see something else that needs attention.
